Congratulations to everyone for their performances at the Displays last weekend - it was again a fantastic event. Especial thanks to the committee and coaches, in particular Nick Ronan and Lynda Wallace for all their hard work towards the event

Thankyou to all members for a wonderful 50th Anniversary year in 2008, and we look forward to another excellent year in 2009.

There have been updates to the competition results page and the calendar page, which now has all the key dates between now and the end of the year.

Congratulations to our senior WAG girls on their performances at the finals of the Victorian Championships at Geelong Arena the last two weekends. Please see the competition results page for more details.

2009 Reenrolment forms are going home this week - please ensure you return them before the end of the year. If you have any questions, haven't received a form or cannot attend your recommended class(es), please contact us.

Congratulations to our WAG level 5B girls and their coach Jen - their team won their division of the Victorian Championships. For more results, please go to the results page.

There've been a number of updates to the website - photos from a few competitions and the Mildura trip are up, as well as the term 4 Gymformation. A large number of results have also been put up - go and have a look at the great acheivements of our gymnasts.

Information about the 2008 End of Year Display and AGM is also available. All gymnasts should receive a notice, which is also available here.

Congratulations to Lauren Vienet and Alan Keating, who have been selected to join the Victorian State Team and travel to Nationals in December.

The Term 3 Gymformation is now available from the newsletters page. All families should be posted one with their term 3 fees over the next week.

Jungle Night was held on Saturday June 21st, to help raise money for the WAG squad trip to Mildura in September - a great time was had by all, and hopefully photos will follow shortly. If you have any, please send them to us.

This year marks the club's 50th anniversary, and a celebration is being organised for October. Please visit the website to find out more.

GFA CHALLENGE

A large number of our recreational gymnasts competed at the GFA Challenge over the weekend – for many their first competition. A great time was had by all, with all gymnasts receiving a medal. A big thank you to all the coaches who assisted on the day in both coaching and judging roles.

Congratulations to Nicola, Chelsea and Krissy on their selection in the Sports Acrobatics State Team after their great performance at the Victorian Championships.  The girls will be traveling to Sydney to compete at the Australian Championships.  Nicola, Chelsea and Krissy are the first ever Box Hill Gym Club gymnasts to compete in a National competition and we wish them the best of luck!
